Event Details

This Crowdsortium Meetup, hosted by Appswell and uTest, is kicking off a newly formed, local chapter of the Crowdsortium, a group of crowdsourcing industry practitioners that have self-organized to advance the crowdsourcing industry through best practices, education, data collection and public dialog.

We are excited to announce that we are having our first event on June 21st from 6:30-8:30pm at the Microsoft NERD, Cambridge!

After a brief keynote from Harvard professor Karim Lakhani, the feature panel – “What’s New & What’s Next in Crowdsourcing” – will be comprised of four to five CEOs of top, local crowdsourcing companies that have had success advancing the ever-changing and growing crowdsourcing industry. Through deep discussions of the current state and evolution of crowdsourcing business models, these industry leaders will dispel some of the most common misconceptions about crowdsourcing and reveal their secrets on how to make it work.

After the panel, we’ll wrap up the meetup with the opportunity to do some networking along with complimentary pizza and beer!

Panel Topics:

·       Is this the year crowdsourcing goes mainstream?

·       What good community management is and what it isn’t

·       The challenges of vetting, engaging, incenting and managing a massive global workforce

·       Crowdsourcing – from theory to disruption – what is the future of distributed work?

Keynote:

Karim R. Lakhani, Harvard Business School

Moderator:

Jim Savage, Partner and Co-Founder of Longworth Venture Partners

Confirmed Panelists:

Jeff Howe, Contributing Editor at Wired Magazine & Author of Crowdsourcing

Dwayne Spradlin, CEO of Innocentive

Doron Reuveni, CEO of uTest

Daniel Sullivan, CEO of Appswell
